ISLAMABAD:
The Anti-Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) of Islamabad police has arrested a motorbike thief and recovered stolen bikes and a gun from him, a police spokesperson said on Thursday.
The official said that with incidents of bike theft increasing, Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations Sajid Kiani and SP (Investigation) Zeeshan Haider had tasked ACLC In-Charge Sub-Inspector Liaquat Ali to arrest those involved in bike lifting incidents.

Subsequently, special teams were constituted to track down the thieves.
One of these teams arrested a bike thief identified as Adnan. Officials recovered two stolen motorbikes and a 30 bore pistol from his possession.
Adnan was booked and efforts are being made to arrest his suspected accomplices. Meanwhile, CIA returned gold ornaments weighing 0.1kg to rightful owner, Jehangir Ikram, after recovering them in a theft case registered at the Lohi Bher police station.
