The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has directed cellular mobile operators to take all possible measures for the verification of Sims of their subscribers.
PTA has introduced “SIM Information System 668” for the verification of mobile Sims. Through this service, subscribers can send their CNIC number to 668 through SMS and receive the details of total Sims issued against their CNIC along with the name of the mobile company.
All unverified and unregistered Sims will be blocked by May 17. as part of PTA’s efforts to block all illegal Sims.
