The incumbent government will complete its tenure on June 5 next year and general election will take place in the following month of July.

Election Act 2017, according to election commission officials, has made the electoral body economically and politically independent.

In a workshop held by the ECP, officials revealed that to ensure transparency watermark papers will be used. Moreover, independent Returning Officers will also be hired for the polling.

Wake Up | 7 years ago | Reply No steps have been taken by ECP to facilitate overseas Pakistanis to vote? All decent democratic systems allow their overseas citizens to vote. Will I be correct in assuming that the current set-up and their self-appointed ECP members are afraid that this might impact the election result in favor of IK and PTI?
