ISLAMABAD:
The Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation (IMC) on Wednesday assured the capital’s businessmen and traders that it will review charges imposed for constructing additional stories in markets and commercial sectors of the capital.

For this purpose, a joint committee comprising representatives of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), the IMC and the Capital Development Authority (CDA) would be formed to review these charges.

These assurances were given by Deputy Mayor Syed Zeeshan Naqvi while speaking to businessmen at the ICCI on Wednesday.

Noting the important role played by the business community, he assured that the IMC would fully cooperate in resolving their key issues.

He, though, urged the business community to consider building multi-storey parking plazas through a public-private partnership to cope with parking issues in markets.
