Diya Club, Karachi Kickers register wins
First day of women football event sees 23 goals.
KARACHI:
Diya Club and Karachi Kickers recorded thumping wins in the National Women Football Club Championship. While Karachi Kickers beat Marta Club 12-0 at the Agha Khan Gymkhana Ground, Diya Club eased past PCFC 11-0 at the KPT Sports Complex Ground.
Kickers’ Zulfia was the star, scoring five goals, to help her team to maximum points while Rehmana Shah had a tally of four. Sundus Shah, Razia Khan and Iqra Hussain scored a goal each.
In the other match, Diya Club’s Afshan Altaf and Hajra Khan scored four and three goals respectively.
The team kicked off their scoring as early as the 40th second of the match through Ruksar Rashid while Erum Kazimi, Marium Leghari and Zamina Aslam were the other scorers.
