Perera to lead Sri Lanka for Pakistan T20Is

Earlier, Upul Tharanga refused to visit Lahore inciting the change of captain

Sri Lanka will be led by Thisara Perera during the three T20Is against Pakistan, of which the final match will be played in Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

Earlier, Sri Lanka T20I captain Upul Tharanga refused to visit Pakistan for the last match, after which Sri Lanka Cricket decided to appoint Perera as the captain of the team.

Perera recently visited Pakistan with the World XI team to play a three-match T20I series in an attempt to revive international cricket in the country.

The first two matches will be played in Abu Dhabi on October 26 and 27 before flying to Lahore for the last match on October 29.
