The Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) teams removed ‘kundas’ in Abdullah Shah Ghazi Goth near Al-Azhar Garden in KDA Scheme No. 33.
The teams seized one complete span of Best Coating wire and an 800-metre long PVC and telephone wire.
Accompanied by police officials, the KESC teams successfully completed the task despite being attacked by the residents.
Three hundred to 400 unauthorised houses have sprung up recently near Chapel Sun City Bungalows.
The residents of Goth allegedly set up an illegal network from nearby bungalows, according to KESC.
