Electricity: Agreement signed with China

Agreement has been signed with China for generation of 120 megawatts of power from Taunsa Barrage.

The project will be completed with the cooperation of China in three years and will cost Rs26 billion.


Addressing the signing ceremony, Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that generation of power from the barrage would help mobilise the economy, as well as generate employment opportunities.
