Judo: Ayatullah pulls out of championship

KARACHI: National judo champion and Asian Games gold medallist Ayatullah will have to sit back while the Pakistan Judo Federation hosts the first international event in the country from May 9 in Islamabad.

The 26-year-old Ayattullah said that he pulled out of the six-nation event due to a shoulder injury he picked up three weeks ago.

The tournament consists of teams from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Nepal competing in 15 categories.
