Doctors strike to protest killing of Quetta doctor
Doctors protesting the murder of a Bolan medical college professor, strike declared by PMA.
QUETTA:
Doctors in Quetta are observing a strike to protest the murder of a Bolan medical college professor, Dr Mumtaz Haider.
The strike was declared on the appeal of the Pakistan Medical Association. All the wards including the OPD and operation theatre of the Bloan medical complex have been shut down. According to the president of PMA Balochistan, only the emergency wards and operation theatres will remain open.
The Balochistan Shia conference, Shia Ulema Council and Majlis Wahdatul Muslimeen Balochistan has called for a three day mourning in the city.
