This was said by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader and MPA Begum Najma Arshad in a ceremony held at Government Post-graduate College of Commerce on Sunday. She said the Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) was carrying out survey in 20 districts of the province to assess losses as earthquake in 2005 and floods in 2010 had caused huge loss to infrastructure. She added that Rs24.33 billion would be spent on rehabilitation.
Earthquake jolts Islamabad
ADCG Muhammad Iqbal Mazhar, District Emergency Officer Dr Natique Hayat, PDMA District Coordinator Shahbaz Bukhari and Civil Defence Officer Rab Nawaz Gormani also spoke on the occasion.
Earlier, the government allocated Rs626 million for 39 development projects in Dera Ghazi Khan in the budget for fiscal year 2017-18.
