SBP establishes consumer helpline

All calls relating to consumer grievances against banks will be entertained at this number

KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has established a dedicated helpline - UAN 111-727-273 - to facilitate banking consumers in resolving their complaint against banks, microfinance banks and development finance institutions.

SBP Governor Tariq Bajwa, while inaugurating the helpline on Thursday, advised the officers concerned to make the general public aware of the helpline and ensure that banking consumers were properly facilitated.

After the establishment of the dedicated helpline, all calls relating to consumer grievances against banks will be entertained at this number only, which will remain available during working hours of the SBP.

Banks have been advised to display the helpline number in their branches for the convenience of consumers.
