PESHAWAR: The Board of Faculty of Social Sciences at University of Agriculture, Peshawar has approved climate change related courses for degree programmes in the disciplines of economics and rural development. According to a press release issued here on Monday, the board meeting was chaired by Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Noor Khan. Climate Change Centre Director Prof Muhammad Zulfiqar and IDS Director Prof Himayatullah Khan termed the approval of climate change related courses as an important step to address climate change issues in future. It merits a mention here that the Climate Change Centre at the University of Agriculture, Peshawar was working on sensitising the people on negative impacts of the phenomenon and also for capacity building of officials to deal with it.
