Health department issues: Reduced funding causing problems
Sindh Health Minister says that allocated funds for the health department have been reduced by 35 per cent.

Sindh Health Minister Dr Sagheer Ahmed has said that allocated funds for the health department have been reduced by 35 per cent and hence it is facing immense difficulty in finishing budgeted projects. However, monitoring committees have been formed to keep a check on all projects. In a meeting held with various EDOs of health and the heads of public hospitals, Dr Sagheer said that all available funds should be utilized as efficiently as possible. He also expressed his annoyance at some hospitals that did not utilise the funds that were made available to them. The meeting was also attended by Special Secretary Health Dr Suresh Kumar.
