SUKKUR:

The Ghotki police raided different villages in Dad Leghari and Mirpur Mathelo districts and arrested six suspects in connection with the murder of a policeman at the National Highway near Keenjhar.

Armed bandits had blocked the Keenjhar link road at Dad Leghari early Monday morning and proceeded to loot several people. After reports of the ongoing robbery reached the police, a contingent from the Dad Leghari police station reached the area and an exchange of fire between the robbers and police ensued. During this clash, a police constable, Qadir Bux Rind, received several bullet injuries and died on the way to the hospital.  After a thorough search of all the houses in the three villages, the police arrested six suspected individuals.
