Protest: Govt employees demand raise
Hundreds of government employees staged a demonstration outside the press club.

Hundreds of government employees staged a demonstration outside the press club on Monday. They protested against inflation and demanded higher salaries. The demonstration was organised by the provincial leadership of the All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA). The protesters also staged a sit-in and blocked Mirpurkhas-Nawabshah road. They demanded a hundred per cent rise in salaries of employees from grade one to grade 16 in the upcoming budget. They also warned that if their demands were not met they would continue to protest.
