ISLAMABAD:
Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Dr Tariq Fazl Chaudhry met with representatives of private schools in Islamabad and discussed matters relating to amendments in the rules of Private Education Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA). The meeting which was also attended by PEIRA Chairman Hasnat Qureshi sought proposals from the representatives of the private schools for amendment in the PEIRA rules, a press release said on Wednesday. Private schools’ unions which represented more than 90% of private educational institutions of rural and urban areas of Islamabad participated in the meeting. The state minister assured the meeting that the proposals of private schools organisations would be considered by the Rules Amendment Committee and all the practicable proposals will be incorporated in the amendments. He further added that the private educational institutions of Islamabad are playing an important role in imparting quality education to children.
