96 appointment letters issued to family members of deceased employees

Home minister asks newly-recruited staff to work with dedication

KARACHI: The Sindh government is concerned for the unemployed people in the province and it will keep making efforts to provide the people more job opportunities.

Agriculture and Home Minister Sohail Anwar Siyal said this during a ceremony for the recruitment of family members of the deceased workers of the provincial agriculture department. The agriculture secretary and other officers were also present on the occasion.

"The Sindh government, in this session, is offering job certificates to family members of the workers who rendered a good part of their lives to the agriculture ministry," Siyal said, adding that merit-based appointments have been his priority since he has held office.

The agriculture minister also commended Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah's efforts to decrease unemployment in the province. "Creating job opportunities for the masses has been a legacy of the Pakistan Peoples Party," Siyal remarked, adding that whenever the party got a chance, it generated merit-based employment which is the reason why Benazir Bhutto and her party still rules the hearts of the people of Sindh.

Congratulating the candidates who received job certificates, Siyal said, "You all must make your sincere efforts for the development of the province". He added that the Sindh government would always take revolutionary steps for the development of the people.

Addressing the ceremony, Agriculture Secretary Sajid Jamal Abro said 96 appointment letters to the family members of the deceased workers belonging to various department of Sindh agriculture ministry were being distributed in the ceremony, whereas 66 appointment letters had been distributed by the ministry earlier.
