ISLAMABAD: A man allegedly shot dead his wife and father-in-law over a domestic dispute in Rawalpindi’s Dhok Chiraghdin area on Saturday. Rescue officials said 28-year-old Rabab was killed with a bullet injury to her head while her father Muhammad Akram, 65, received bullet to his chest.

Civil Lines police said the suspect killed his estranged wife and father-in-law after failing to convince her for reconciliation. He fled after killing the two.

The incident reportedly took place around 8am. Both were already dead when rescuers reached the site. The bodies were taken to District Headquarters Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
