Man shot dead over enmity in Faisalabad

Saif was killed on the spot while his brother suffered injuries

FAISALABAD:
A man was shot dead while his brother suffered injuries in Sahianwala police station precincts on Wednesday.

Police said Saifur Rehman and his brother Ataur Rehman, residents of Chak No 45-JB, were standing in the street when their rivals opened indiscriminate fire on them over enmity. As a result, Saif was killed on the spot while his brother suffered injuries and was shifted to hospital in critical condition.

Man axed to death

The police registered a case and started investigation.

A man ended his life by committing suicide after two days of his marriage in Jaranwala City.


Police said Shehbaz, a resident of Chak No 127-GB, had an exchange of hot words with his family members over a domestic dispute. In sheer frustration, he consumed poisonous pills and ended his life.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested a man for extorting money from a citizen for sending him abroad. An official said that accused Muhammad Zeeshan, a resident of Kot Abdullah, Lahore, extorted Rs500,000 from Ghulam Mustafa for sending him to Dubai. But he neither sent him abroad nor returned his money.

The FIA team arrested the accused and sent him behind bars.
