Textile owners and workers stage protest against the suspension of gas supply to industrial units for 3 days.
FAISALABAD:
Textile owners and workers jointly staged a sit-in in front of the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) office on Friday to protest against the suspension of gas supply to industrial units for three days.
The protesters were carrying placards inscribed with slogans against the gas load shedding and demanded regular gas supply to the industries.
They also burnt tyres and blocked traffic on the Faisalabad-Sargodha Road for several hours.
The protesters said that the government needed to take appropriate measures to cap the gas load shedding schedule for the industrial sector as soon as possible.
