PESHAWAR: Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti on Saturday demanded an end to drone strikes in tribal areas of the country.

Hoti said the drone strikes were an attack on the country’s sovereignty, adding that something should be done for K-P’s inhabitants, who have paid a huge price due to the war on terror.

Hoti’s statement came in the wake of an uproar over a drone attack that killed at least seven people in South Waziristan, a day after CIA Chief Leon Panetta and ISI Chief Shuja Pasha had a meeting in the US.

“The people of K-P and the Pakistan Army have offered unmatched sacrifices in the war against terror; we don’t need a certificate of acknowledgement from anyone,” Hoti said.

Operations | 13 years ago | Reply A ultimatum was sent your office on Friday of last week. The 48 hours is up!! As of April 21st 2011 if an offer in conjunction with US-NATO/PAK must be put on the the table!! US Technology is not for sale. It would be in your best interest to relocate the elderly, woman & children from Militant infested areas or training compounds in NW Pakistan after April 21st 2011. If a US-NATO/PAK is not reached expect the unexpected!!! If one is reached funding will be allocated post a successful operation!
