LWMC awards sanitary workers

Ceremony was organised to raise the moral of workers, said LWMC chairperson

LAHORE: Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) organised a ceremony to distribute appreciation certificates among sanitary workers, supervisors, zonal officers and management staff that performed exceptionally during the recent independence cup at Gaddafi stadium.

Sanitary worker beaten 'on the orders of DC'

The ceremony was organized at Town Hall. Chief Guest of the event was Chairman LWMC Col (retd) Mubashir Javed. Chairman LWMC during his speech said that LWMC Managing Director Bilal Mustafa paid regular visits to Qaddafi stadium to monitor/ensure cleanliness and authorities were pleased to see the commendable efforts. He said that was the reason the ceremony was organised to raise the moral of workers.

He said cleanliness carries huge importance and without it, life without disease is impossible. He also awarded Rs5,000 to a sanitary worker for his performance.
