SARGODHA:
A man was axed to death in Jhal Chakian police limits on Tuesday. Police said that a farmer, Nasir Iqbal, a resident of Chak No 53/NB, was asleep in his house when unidentified people axed him to death for unknown reasons.

Police handed the body to the heirs after postmortem. The police registered case against unknown accused on the report of Shah Muhammad and started investigation.

Two men axed to death in separate incidents

Meanwhile, four people were killed while two others suffered injuries in a road accident in Saddar police limits.


Police said that Muhammad Wasim, a resident of Bhalwal, was travelling in a car with his family members on Bhalwal-Sargodha Road when a speedy dumper hit them near Chak No 33/NB. As a result, four people, including Wasim, his wife Nadia, daughter Dua Fatima and mother-in-law Shahnaz Bibi died on the spot, while two others Tariq and Sarfraz were injured.

However, the dumper driver fled the scene. The injured were shifted to DHQ hospital Sargodha in serious condition. Police have registered a case and started investigation.
