Murder In Interior Sindh: Linesman killed upon resistance

Worker of HESCO shot dead by unidentified men when he resisted their attempt to rob him.

KHAIRPUR: A worker of the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO), Khuda Bux Abro, was shot dead by unidentified men near Tando Masti when he resisted their attempt to rob him of his motorcycle.

Abro, who was employed as a linesman, was travelling to Khairpur from his village when the men intercepted him at the the Larkana-Khairpur link road and tried to steal his motorcycle. When he resisted, the men shot him, killing him instantly.

Relatives and fellow villagers blocked the National Highway to protest the murder and demanded that the overall law-and-order situation improve in the area. They only dispersed after assurances from the police and notables of the district that the bandits responsible shall soon be arrested.
