The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) camps, though, have increased their political activities in the constituency and have started developmental works for the area to entice votes.
The NA-4 Peshawar seat had fallen vacant after former MNA Gulzar Khan of PTI passed away on August 28.
According to the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Election Commission, candidates can submit their nomination papers until September 20. The papers will be scrutinised from September 21 till 23. Elections on the seat are scheduled to be held on October 26.
In the 2013 general elections, the ECP said that 260,335 voters were registered in the constituency.
