YouTube video of the day: Target shooting survivor tells his tale

The third series of Seerat, a docume­ntary by Ali Kapadi­a, pictur­es the accoun­t of a target killin­gs surviv­or.

Ali Kapadia, a young Pakistani filmmaker from San Francisco, came up with a new series of documentaries known as “Seerat- People of Pakistan” which shares the life and experiences of common Pakistanis.

Kapadia, who is famous for introducing the Evolution Man in his stop-motion music video for the song Maujo Main by Evolution, is a versatile artist with work varying from documentaries to short comedy films and calligraphy to animation.

With music by Celestial Aeon Project and support by eminent filmmaker Jami from Azad Film Company, Seerat, the series based on human interest leave the viewers touched.

This third series of Seerat is based on an emotional account of a survivor of target killings in Karachi. Hafiz Muhammad Waqas, who became a victim of target killings along with his friends, says he was sure he won’t survive when he was lying alone on the road, bleeding.

The perfect direction and the emotional touch given by Kapadia definitely makes the whole series worth watching.
