CDA digs more wells to improve the water supply

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has spud a well in Sector I-8/4 to improve the water supply in the area. Similarly bore work was in progress in Sector D-12/1 on another tube well, a meeting chaired by Mayor Anser Aziz was told on Tuesday. Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) would take all out measures to provide uninterrupted water supply to the residents of the city, Aziz said. “Consolidated steps have been taken which have significantly improved the water supply situation in the city. Due to recent rain spells, water level in different reservoirs has also increased,” the mayor noted. The meeting reviewed the progress of Water Supply Directorate in the authority. Senior officers of MCI and relevant formations also attended the meeting. Mayor and CDA chairman Anser Aziz was briefed that repair and maintenance of different water installments was carried out in July.
