Intermediate results: 1,050 marks a new high for Multan board

Girls clinch top positions in intermediate exams by securing highest marks in pre-medical group while boys topped the pre-engineering group in Multan.
At least 63,623 candidates appeared in the intermediate exam and of them, 39,450 succeeded in clearing all the papers. The ratio of success remained 62%. In pre-medical group of girls, Anmol Fatima and Javeria Mustafa from Punjab College obtained 1,050 marks and secured first postions, Amna Masood stood second by obtaining 1,044 marks and Esha Khan secured third position by obtaining 1,041 marks.

Similarly, Malik Humayoun Khalid of Government Post Graduate College, Khanewal secured first position among boys by obtaining 1,047 marks. Waqar Asghar of Punjab College bagged 1,039 marks and secured second position, while Fazeel Ahmad from Government Post Graduate College, Khanewal and Muhammad Sohail from Muslim College of Science and Commerce obtained 1,037 marks and got third positions respectively.
In the pre-engineering group, Muhammad Moshin of Nishat College bagged first position by obtaining 1,036 marks, while Muhammad Owais Tariq remained second by securing 1,033 marks. Muhammad Luqman stood third by getting 1,028 marks.
In girls’ category, Hafiza Aneeba Majeed of Government College for Women, Mian Channu bagged first position by obtaining 1,033 marks, Samreen Gull stood second with 1,026 marks and Hania Akhtar Anjum secured third position with 1,019 marks.
In General Science Group, Muhammad Talha secured first position by obtaining 1,016 marks, Muhammad Rizwan Ahmad stood second by obtaining 998 marks and Usama Mughal bagged third position by obtaining 991 marks.
In General Science group for girls, Ruqayya Ghaffoor of City College, Multan bagged first position by obtaining 1,024 marks, while the second position was secured by Mahak Ali with 997 marks. Samia Jameel bagged third position with 984 marks..
In Commerce Group, Ahmad Mushtaq stood first with 1,002 marks, Zainul Abideen secured second position with 983 marks and third position was bagged by a private candidate Abdullah Khan, who obtained 964 marks. However, among girls, Hadia Lateef topped with 1,012 marks, Iqra Basheer stood second with 1,011 marks and Fiza Khursheed secured third position with 1,006 marks.
In Arts group, the first position was secured by two students of Government Higher Secondary School, Ludan namely Muhammad Ashraf and Qaisar Abbas, who obtained 970 marks. Second position was obtained by Khursheed Sharif with 951 marks and third position was bagged by Jodat Hameed of Government Degree College, Jahaniah.
Among girls, Misbah Azam bagged top position with 1,010 marks, Taseer Fatima from Jalalpur stood second with 994 marks, while third position was secured by Saman Asghar with 975 marks.
Dera Ghazi Khan
A total of 39,507 candidates appeared in the intermediate exam and of them 27,170 were declared successful. The ratio of success remained 68%.
In pre-medical group of boys, Muhammad Mubeen bagged first positon with 1,044 marks, Muhammad Aziz Shaukat stood second with 1,042 marks, while Naseer Ahmad stood third with 1,041 marks.

Smilarly, Areeqa Khan of Government College for Dera stood first with 1,037 marks, Mahnoor Yousaf of the same college stood second with 1,036 marks and Ayesha Imtiaz of Government Girls Degree College Model Town stood third with 1,034 marks.
In pre-engineering group of boys, Muhammad Ali Asad of Rashid Minhas Higher Secondary School secured first position with 1,036 marks, Safiullah of the same school stood second with 1,025 marks and Muhammad Kashif of Rise Science Higher Secondary School stood third with 1,024 marks.
In girls’ category, Hafsa Suhail of Punjab Girls Higher Secondary School stood first with 1,021 marks, Misbah Naeem of Government Girls Higher Secondary School stood second with 1,016 marks and Hafsa Mubeen of Government College for Girls Fatehpur stood third with 1,012 marks.
In humanitarian and commerce group, Husnain Muawiya from Kot Addu bagged first position with 1,010 marks, Zeeshan Bashir of Government Higher Secondary School Mithan Kot secured second position with 959 marks, while Imtiaz Ahmad of same institution bagged third position with 953 marks.
In girls group, Saba Maqsood of Punjab Girls College Alipur secured first position with 1,011 marks, Rabia Naseer of Princeton Girls College stood second with 967 marks and Sidra Nazar of Government College for Women, Layyah bagged third position with 965 marks.
Bahawalpur
At least 46,397 candidates appeared in the intermediate exam and 25,387 were declared successful. The ratio of success remained 54%. Muhammad Ali Zafar obtained 1,055 marks and stood first, Hadia Alam secured second position with 1,048 marks and Hafiza Sameeta Sajid bagged third position with 1,047 marks.
Faisalabad
The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Faisalabad announced the result of Intermediate annual examination 2017. A total of 84,459 candidates appeared in the examination, of them 55,810 were declared successful, showing pass percentage of 66.08.
The result was announced in a simple but impressive ceremony held at auditorium of the BISE. Provincial Minister for Local Government Manshaullah Butt was chief guest. The position holders were awarded medals, certificates and cash prizes.
Sargodha
At least 41,507 candidates, including 19,466 male and 22,041 female candidates appeared in the examinations in Sargodha. A total of 25,133 candidates were declared successful, showing 60.55 pass percentage.
The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Sargodha organised an award distribution ceremony for the position holders of Intermediate part-II annual examinations 2017. Provincial Environment Minister Zakia Shahnawaz was the chief guest of the event while BISE Chairman Prof Sirajul Haq and other officials were also present on the occasion.
