Pakistan embassy in Seoul hosts Gandhara arts exhibition

As part of the country's 70th Independence Day celebrations, Embassy of Pakistan in Seoul hosted a reception for the Diplomatic Corps and Korean dignitaries during the “Special Viewing of the Gandhara Artefacts Exhibition” at the Seoul Arts Centre on Friday.

According to a statement, Speaker of South Korean National Assembly Chung Sye-Kyun attended the event as a chief guest, who was accompanied by members of the Korea Pakistan Parliamentary Friendship Group and diplomatic corps based in Seoul.

In his remarks, Chung expressed full confidence that Pakistan will continue to grow from strength to strength.


“He highlighted the longstanding friendly relations between Pakistan and Korea and emphasised the recent positive political interactions including his visit to Pakistan in August,” the statement said.

He hoped for increasing people to people contact and investment and economic relationship's growth.

Pakistan’s ambassador Rahim Hayat Qureshi also spoke on the occasion. The Gandhara Artefacts Exhibition is running till September 30.
