Operation against beggary launched

BAHAWALPUR: Following the directives of the district management, an operation has been launched in Bahawalpur on Thursday against beggars and 20 beggar children were sent to Child Protection and Welfare Bureau.

Official sources said a joint operation was launched by District Child Protection and Welfare Bureau and police against professional beggars in the city in which 20 beggar children were taken into custody.

“Twenty beggar children have been sent to child protection bureau,” said District Officer, Child Protection and Welfare Bureau, Noshaba Malik. She said beggar children would be imparted education by Child Protection and Welfare Bureau to become a useful citizen of society and the operation against beggars would continue.
