LAHORE:

Pakistan thrashed Nepal 21-0 at the Punjab Stadium as the hosts registered their second successive win in the four-nation SAARC baseball tournament.

Nepal, who were humiliated by Sri Lanka on Wednesday by the same score-line, were helpless again as Pakistan scored five runs in the first innings, four in the third and 12 in the fourth as Nepal were batted and battered out of the game.

Imtiaz, Sumair, Iftikhar and Asif scored a run each and Arshad hit a home run to add to Nepal’s misery. After no runs were scored in the second innings, Pakistan bounced back with Imtiaz and Asif contributing their second run while Musadiq and Umair adding another two. The score then read 9-0 as Nepal looked at another concession after the Sri Lanka game.

With Nepal failing to open their account, Pakistan scored 12 in their fourth innings and with the difference being greater than 15, the match ended without the completion of the other innings.
