CDA promotes Master Ayub
CDA has now promoted Ayub from fire control supervisor to fire instructor
ISLAMABAD:
In a rare move, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has decided to ‘promote’ volunteer teacher Muhammad Ayub.
Popularly known as Master Ayub, who works at the CDA’s fire department, has been teaching poor and out-of-school children for free at the Sector F-6 Park for the past 34 years.
CDA seals offices of ‘illegal’ housing scheme
CDA Member Administration Yasir Pirzada visited Ayub at his open air school in F-6 Park and handed over his promotion orders.
The government has already awarded Ayub with the President’s Pride of Performance award in recognition of his services to education.
CDA has now promoted Ayub from fire control supervisor to fire instructor.
Pirzada said it was an honour for the fire department that such a devoted volunteer is part of the organisation.
“Services of Ayub have been recognised at the national and international forums. He is our national asset. It is our national obligation to encourage such people,” Pirzada said.
CDA suspends 8 officials for illegally occupying govt-provided houses
The Member Administration also directed CDA officials to arrange for a shelter, facilities for lighting and drinking water for the students at Master Ayub’s school.
