NAB set to eradicate corruption: Chaudhry

NAB’s message “say no to corruption” is being carried on all ATM machines of all scheduled banks

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry has said that the bureau is committed to making Pakistan corruption free.

“Eradication of corruption is our national duty,” he said on his return from Vienna where he had represented Pakistan at an International Conference on Anti-Corruption.

Chaudhry said that corruption is the root cause of all evil and NAB was committed to eradicating corruption by using all its resources. NAB has adopted Zero Tolerance Policy across the board as corruption is one of the major hurdles in the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.

NAB filed 150 references in three years

He said graft destroys  merit and deprives deserving persons of their due right. He said that corruption is not only an obstacle in way to economic development but also causes delays in development projects because money earned from corruption and corrupt practices is concentrated in a few hands only.

He said NAB’s Awareness and Prevention Campaign was appreciated by all participants and remained very successful. NAB’s message “say no to corruption” is being carried on all ATM machines of all scheduled banks.
