KARACHI:

Aklima Clinical Research, an independent subsidiary of the OBS group of companies, announced the launch of its Chex Series diagnostic kits.

The institute’s managing director, Amjad Moin, and product specialist Dr Maria Wahaj said that heart attack, HIV, malaria, tuberculosis, typhoid, dengue and hepatitis B and C can be diagnosed with the innovative kits. Each kit has been designed to diagnose a particular disease. “Each kit has all the components required to perform one complete test and do not require reagents or syringes.”

According to their research, people do not have easy access to diagnostic tests at reasonable prices.

Therefore, many of them do not go for critical tests, delaying treatment that can result in fatal complications. “For heart attacks, where every second counts, the diagnostic kit gives results within a minute.” HIV Chex, a diagnostic kit for HIV, is easy to use and can be used at home, giving results in 15 minutes.
