Two men were killed and as many bodies were found in separate incidents across the city, while another suffered injuries. Furthermore, a minor child lost his life in a road accident.
In the first incident in Islampura, a young man, who was returning after appearing in court in a murder case, was attacked by some rivals. The victim, Awais Sohail, was involved in a double murder case at a sheesha cafe in Garden Town three years ago. He was an absconder and had gone into hiding.

Two weeks ago, he returned and managed to secure bail. On the day of the incident, he was returning after appearing before a court when unidentified suspects ambushed him and opened fire. As a result, the victim and passer-by Zubair suffered bullet injuries. They were taken to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced Awais dead on arrival.
Police took the body to morgue and collected forensic evidence from the crime scene. They also recorded statements of eyewitnesses. In another case, the body of a man was recovered from his house in Baghbanpura. The victim, identified as Abdul Rehman, was living with his wife and children in a rented house.
On the day of the incident, he was asleep in the house when his wife went to a nearby market with the children. When she returned after 20 minutes, she found the victim in a pool of blood.

A police team reached the spot and took the body for an autopsy which established that the deceased had his throat slit. Police also collected forensic evidence from the crime scene and recorded statements of eyewitnesses. Police were investigating the matter further, keeping in view different angles.
A police officer told The Express Tribune that the house in which the victim was living was owned by a teenage boy after the death of his parents. The owner’s uncles had asked many a time to vacate the building and issued death threats to any inhabitants.
In Township, a minor child died when he was run over by a truck. The victim, Arham, was playing when the vehicle hit him. He suffered injuries and was rushed to the hospital, but announced dead on arrival. Police took the body to the morgue and impounded the vehicle involved. However, the driver fled from the scene.
Moreover, the body of a 40-year-old unidentified man was found in Missri Shah. The deceased was lying in an unconscious state when a passerby spotted him and informed the police. A team reached the spot on information and sent the body for an autopsy. Police said fumes were coming out of the mouth of the victim.
Meanwhile, another body was recovered from Mozang. Police were investigating the matter and searching for the family of the victim.
