Football: Rooney explains swearing mistake

LONDON: Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney admits he had lost control when he blatantly swore into a television camera after scoring against West Ham. The FA banned him for two matches as a result of which he will sit out FA Cup semi-final with Manchester City. “I didn’t realise what I’d done. It was just emotions,” said Rooney. “As soon as I realised I apologised.”
