It is our desire that free, fair and transparent elections should be held so people could elect the leader of their choice. These views were expressed by former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani while addressing a press conference at his residence in Multan on Friday.
Article 62: How we got the law that cost PM his office
Gillani said South Punjab would have been a fifth federating unit if the party had two-third majority in the house. He added Asif Ali Zardari had endorsed the policy of Bilawal Bhutto by saying that he was not in touch with ousted premier Nawaz Sharif as the former PM’s priorities were different while he was in power.
“We have accepted the judgments of the courts and never raised voice against it. But Nawaz Sharif is using objectionable language about the judiciary,” he maintained.
