PM Abbasi directs Railway Ministry for speedy completion of projects
Says railway holds great importance for country’s development as it changes socio-economic scenario
Prime Minister Shahid Khaqam Abbasi has directed the railway minister for speedy completion of infrastructure projects and rail services, Radio Pakistan reported.
PM Abbasi made these directions while chairing a meeting on Pakistan Railways affairs in Islamabad.
He said the railway holds great importance for the country’s development as it changes the socio-economic scenario for the better.
Railways revival in Karachi faces shanty town delay
Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique briefed the prime minister on several initiatives launched by the government during the last four years, including up-gradation of ML-1 from Karachi to Peshawar which is to be executed under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
On this, PM Abbasi lauded the efforts being put by the Railway officials for the ongoing projects.
He also emphasised that parliamentarians should take it upon themselves to address issues perturbing the common man.
