The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) and representatives from the CNG Stations Association made the decision at a meeting because the SSGC is facing a shortage of 200 million cubic feet per day during the annual turnaround of the Bhit Gas field, which started at midnight on April 11. SSGC’s monitoring teams will enforce the decision.
The utility has requested all industrial and domestic customers to reduce their gas consumption by 15 per cent, so that they can provide uninterrupted supply during the maintenance period.
