He said the purpose of the exhibition-cum-trade fair was to connect Chinese and Pakistani companies for mutual cooperation in different commercial fields.
“The expo is expected to host some of the biggest Chinese companies seeking partner firms in Pakistan for joint ventures,” Wang was quoted as saying in a press statement, adding the PCJCCI had invited more than 250 Chinese companies to participate in the exhibition and showcase their products and capabilities.
The Chinese organiser of the event stated that companies from China’s construction machinery, water treatment technology, electrical appliances, household appliances, building material and plastic sectors, among others, would participate in the event.
Domestic industrial representatives are equally upbeat about the event. Highlighting the importance of the trade fair for the local manufacturing companies, PCJCCI Secretary General Salahuddin Hanif underlined the need for their active participation.

“We are trying our level best to attract Chinese investments towards the Pakistani market and relevant stakeholders must participate to encourage our endeavours for mutual development,” he said.
To ensure the participation of all the relevant Pakistani companies, the PCJCCI is directly arranging meetings between local machinery manufacturing companies and Chinese organisers and participants of the exhibition.
The increased interaction would also allow detailed, easier and accurate decision-making for each side, the statement said.
