Police bust gang of eight bike lifters
A police party headed by Thothal Police Station SHO Sub Inspector Mirza Shabir caught the suspects

Mirpur police claim to have busted an inter-provincial gang of eight motorbike lifters and recovered 15 stolen bikes worth over Rs800,000 from them. Mirpur SSP Raja Irfan Salim said on Wednesday that a police party headed by Thothal Police Station SHO Sub Inspector Mirza Shabir caught the suspects in a raid. The Thotal police, through their network of informersreceived a tip-off that a gang of bike thieves was present at their hideout. Consequently, SI Shabir got a raiding party together and surrounded the suspects, who surrendered without resistance. The eight thieves produced 15 bikes, while confessing to have sold off and scuttled a number of other two-wheelers.
