SED promises to train PKLI staff
The academy will provide its infrastructural facilities to PKLI for training purposes
LAHORE:
The Quaid-e-Azam Academy for Educational Development of the Schools Education Department (SED) shall provide necessary support and infrastructural facilities to Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute (PKLI) and Research Centre for the training of its staff comprising doctors, nurses, Paramedical staff, technicians and IT experts.

For this purpose, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) has been signed between the two organizations at the committee room of Quaid-e-Azam Academy for Educational Development on Friday.
Schools Education Secretary Dr Allah Bakhsh Malik and PKLI CEO Dr Saeed Akhtar signed the MOU document on behalf of their departments. According to the MOU, the Quaid-e-Azam Academy will provide its infrastructural facilities to the PKLI for a period of five years for training purposes.

Meanwhile, PKLI will extend free treatment facilities to staff and family members of Schools Education Department. It will also hold different workshops to raise awareness about hepatitis in different districts of the province.
While addressing the function, Schools Secretary Dr Allah Bakhsh Malik said that this agreement was mutually beneficial and the Quaid-e-Azam Academy would continue to serve as a training hub for government departments besides arranging state-of-the-art training for school teachers.
