The fashion designer, blogger, stylist and entrepreneur talks about how she styles her physique and gives us fashion advice worth following

Understanding your body is the key to looking good and a trait found amongst all impeccably dressed fashionistas. While people shy away from talking about their bodies, these brave souls explain how they work their anatomies to their advantage

How would you describe your body type?

I’d say my body type is somewhere between an hourglass and an inverted triangle.

Has your body changed over the last five years?

Yes, definitely! I used to be extremely skinny but over the years I have gained a lot of weight due to my routine, which demands for me to be stagnant for long periods of time. Also my social habits involve eating out mostly.

How has your style changed over the years?

I was always into fashion and kept myself up-to-date with the trends every season but studying fashion design broadened my perspective and taught me a lot. Now my style is more individual. I go for trends according to my body type and don’t follow anything blindly. Comfort is always first for me.

In your opinion what is the most troublesome area?

My most troublesome area would be my legs.

How do you dress your body according to your body type?

I avoid wearing body-hugging clothes because they always reveal flaws. Very baggy clothes on the other hand make you look disproportionate, so I balance it out.

In your opinion what is the biggest mistake a person can make while dressing here?

The biggest mistake a person can make is ignoring their body type. Always dress according to your body type! I cannot stress enough on how important it is.

Which silhouettes suit your body the most?

I think H-line and A-line silhouettes flatter my shape.

What is the one piece of clothing you shy away from wearing and why?

I am pretty confident when it comes to experimenting with fashion and clothes. I wear everything from crop-tops to off-shoulders or tube-tops and even backless.  However the one thing I always shy away from is showing off my legs. I still need to ask myself why!
