Pakistan to set up flood early warning system
“Balloting will be held on August 10 at the Convention Centre. Cases which have been approved before August 9 will be included in the first round of balloting,” notices issued by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) read.
The second round of balloting is expected to take place on August 17 at the same venue. Residential plots will be allotted to the affectees through open balloting, which will be held as per the rules defined in the SOP’s and the Land Sharing Policy 2017. The plots to be distributed by the CDA Land Directorate are situated in different sectors of Islamabad, including Sectors D-13, E-13 and C-16.
CM orders preventive measures against floods
CDA has asked the affectees to file their cases before the ballots are held, and that no objection would be entertained afterwards. Earlier this week, Islamabad Mayor and CDA Chairman Sheikh Anser Aziz had announced new measures to ensure that affectees are allotted plots in a transparent manner.
