The provincial government has decided to launch a hydroelectric energy project costing Rs9, 522.801 million in Skardu with the federal government’s assistance.
G-B asks tourists to check weather before heading north
The facility will have a capacity of generating 34.5 megawatts of electricity which will be supplied to agricultural, industrial and domestic consumers to overcome rampant energy shortage in the area, officials said.
G-B development: Work on power projects to start soon: CM
Public Works Department Superintending Engineer Naseem Hussain said that the project would start in Harpe village of the district. The facility’s reservoir will also store and supply water for irrigating purposes, he added.
