SBI, Swiss Business Council join hands

Aim to attract investments for public-private partnership

KARACHI: Sindh Board of Investment (SBI) and Swiss Business Council (SBC) signed on Monday a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the objective of promoting investment and trade in Sindh. The event was held at Switzerland’s consulate in Karachi.

SBC President Farhat Ali and SBI Director General Manzoor Ali Shaikh signed the MoU on behalf of the two organisations with Swiss Consul General Philippe Crevoisier and SBI Chairperson Naheed Memon in attendance.

The agreement envisages cooperation between SBI and SBC in exploring public-private partnership opportunities in various fields, by linking potential investors from Pakistan and Switzerland. Each party will designate one or more focal persons to ensure smooth interaction and exchange of useful information while planning projects. They will also coordinate in promoting Pakistan’s vibrant investment environment in Switzerland.

SBI invites Qatari firms to invest in various sectors

SBI will also facilitate and resolve issues of Swiss companies based in Sindh in accordance with the laws, rules and regulations.

According to the statement, the SBI will facilitate Swiss delegations during their visits to Sindh for exploring possibilities of investment opportunities in different sectors of the economy.
