Four suspected militants killed in Awaran
The Counter-Terrorism Department had claimed arrest of the suspects during a press conference last November. The suspects were subsequently booked in around 25 cases, including the murder of Sabri and military police personnel.
Sabri was killed in a drive-by shooting in Liaquatabad in June last year when he was heading towards a private TV channel to participate in its Ramazan transmission. According to the investigators, the assailants carried out the attack after detailed surveillance of the victim.
The two suspects are said to be hardcore militants of the banned terrorist outfit, mostly involved in sectarian killings and attacks on military and law enforcement agencies across the country.
