NAB Chairman Case: Review petition filed in Supreme Court
Federation files petition in SC seeking review of its short order and detailed judgement on NAB chief appointment.
ISLAMABAD:
The federation on Saturday filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking review/recall of its short order and detailed judgement on the issue of appointment of chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
The review plea is moved through Abdul Hafeez Pirzada, a senior lawyer of the apex court, who also defended the Federation during hearing of the main case.
In the plea it is contended that the judgment should be reviewed and the errors apparent on the face of record be recalled as no court could permit such errors (which have resulted, inter alia, in miscarriage of justice, erroneous interpretation and application of constitutional and sub-constitutional provisions, exercise of powers beyond the jurisdiction and judicial power of the Court and erroneous application and reliance upon earlier precedent case law).
