Blood banks sealed for illegal sale
Poor quality blood bags were found which were highly dangerous for health

Secretary Punjab Blood Transfusion Authority Dr Muhammad Akhtar visited various blood units in Faisalabad on Friday.

In a raid at illegal sale of blood at Faisal Lab and Standard Lab in front of Allied Hospital were recovered 25 blood bags of poor quality, which were highly dangerous for human health. Similarly, 29 blood bags and 12 bags of components were found which were stored in dangerous conditions.
Illegal blood banks spreading disease
All the bags were non-labelled and haemolysed. Customers present at standard lab who had come to purchase blood were referred to Allied Hospital blood unit. Both the labs were sealed.
